Donations

The New Glarus Public Library is funded by the taxpayers of the Village of New Glarus and Green County. Although these funds help us meet our basic needs, there is always a need for additional funding. Some of the ways you can help are listed below.

Gifts of Money

Contributions, memorials and gifts are always needed and very much appreciated. These gifts help fund programs, materials and projects to serve the community above and beyond what the tax-based funding can provide.

Small gifts by check or cash can be dropped off at the library. They add up fast and we are grateful for any amount.

Library Stories

Nothing demonstrates the library's value quite so well as a first-hand account. Please consider sharing your story about what the library means to you or how it has impacted your life. We'll ask for your permission to include your story in grant applications, reports and other publications. Notes, emails and phone calls welcome.

Support for the Building Project

For up-to-date information on how you can help support the project to build a new library, please see our Building Project page.

Books & Other Materials

We gladly accept donations of gently used books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs throughout the year, with the understanding that these items will be offered for sale at our annual Friends of the Library book sale (held the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend).  We are unable to accept textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, and items with water/mildew damage.  We are happy to provide you with documentation of your donation for tax purposes.
