Available at the Library

The library has a limited collection of local history resources.  These items are available for in-library use only, and are available upon request at the circulation desk.  We do have circulating copies of some recent local history publications; check the library's catalog for more details.

New Glarus High School Yearbooks: 1942, 1951, 1955, 1957, 1986-2004, 2006-2008

New Glarus Post-Messenger: 1993 - current

We also have several local family histories and a selection of other local publications; contact the library for further details.

The library has access to two genealogy databases: Ancestry Library (in-library access only) and HeritageQuest.

The Swiss Historical Village is an excellent resource for local information, and will conduct genealogy research for a fee.
